New Curtiss P-40B/C family in 1/72 scale from Arma Hobby – Hawk 81, Tomahawk II and P-40B/C

Following the success of our Curtiss P-36 Hawk kits, we are opening a new chapter in the story of Curtiss fighters.

We are pleased to announce a new family of 1/72 scale kits covering the Curtiss Hawk 81, Tomahawk II and P-40B/C.

The first release in this series will be the Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 “Flying Tigers” (70094).

The first release: Hawk 81-A2 Flying Tigers

Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 is one of the most recognizable members of the P-40 family. This version became famous through the exploits of the pilots of the American Volunteer Group (AVG), better known as the Flying Tigers.

The distinctive shark-mouth nose art, air combat over China, and the legend built by Claire Chennault and his pilots have made the Flying Tigers one of the most enduring symbols of World War II aviation.

The planned kit will include three Flying Tigers marking options.

Full details of the kit contents, decals, sprues and accessories will be revealed when pre-orders open.

The Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 (70094) will be the first release in a new Arma Hobby family covering the Curtiss Hawk 81, Tomahawk II and P-40B/C.
