Work on the Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a 1/72 kit is entering its final stage. If everything goes according to plan, the model will be available before the end of January. Before the first boxes reach you, however, we would like to show another important element of the kit – the assembly instructions.
Below you can see the instruction layout that is now going to print. This is the final version in terms of layout, build sequence, and markings – exactly the one you will later find inside the box.
What will you find in the instructions?
The instructions have been designed to guide you through the build step by step, with a logical sequence of work, clear separation of stages, and easy-to-follow presentation of assembly options and kit variants. As always, our goal was maximum clarity – regardless of the modeller’s experience level.
On the final pages you will also find painting and marking diagrams for all variants included in the kit, with clear placement of markings and aircraft-specific details.

Pre-order is ongoing
We would like to remind you that the Me 262 A-1a 1/72 pre-order is still open, with shipping planned for late January.
- If you want to make sure you get one from the first batch – place your pre-order now via the product page. On the product page, choose the option with 3D accessories.

I am looking forward to receive my three kits!!! Sebastian gave all the feedback I wanted to say, I will add that it is not clear if the three steel balls are with the kit or they have to be provided by the modeller, and in this case which are the specs?
Thanks!!!
Thank you! The three steel balls are included in the kit as metal nose weights, so there’s no need to source them separately. We’ll also make this clearer in the final version of the instructions.
Hello, perhaps just add the steel balls at the listing of parts, because it’s missing ? It’s not my scale, but it’s my favorite airplane and when i see the quality, i’ll buy this model, good job !
absolutely superb !
Please allow some annotations from a layout perspective:
– In step 28 there are two typos: “fiil“ should be “fill“ and „apropriate“ misses a “p“.
– The right textbox in step 29 has no red frame (like the others).
– Maybe the text boxes would be more readable without capital letters: “FOR MARKING OPTION“ vs. “For marking option“.
– In the textboxes the two languages are separated with a slash “/“. But in most cases there aren’t any spaces around the slash so it isn’t easy to find the slash and therefore the beginning of the English sentence.
– Maybe you could try to start the English sentence on a new line. It’s clearer and you don’t need the slash anymore, e.g. the right textbox in step 28: The English sentence starts with “you“ and then follows a line break! Probably it would look better to put the “you“ on the next line.
Thanks!
Thank you for the detailed feedback — much appreciated. We’ll review all your points and incorporate the corrections and layout improvements before the final print.
Hello!
The new kit looks very promising! I like the paint schemes (2) and (3). The first variant is too difficult for me.
Good work :-)!
