The latest edition of the Arma Hobby 1/48 Hurricane, awarded the prestigious “Model of the Year 2024” medal from the German magazine Modell Fan, is the Sea Hurricane Mk IIc kit with a large set of 3D prints and three very attractive markings.

3D prints

A large set of 3D resin prints for Sea Hurricane Mk IIc allows for easy conversion of a “land-based” fighter into a naval aircraft, but also contains many parts that are better-detailed replacements for plastic parts:

  • pilot’s seat with seatbelts
  • 20 mm cannon barrels
  • exhaust tubes

All 3D-printed parts were designed basing on the original kit design and fit “plug-and-play,” directly replacing the kit parts; no cutting or fitting is needed.

Kit markings

Each of the markings we offer in this kit is unique. “7K – Nicki” – the destroyer of the four-engine Junkers Ju-290 – a white fighter from the aircraft carrier HMS Nairana featured on the beautiful boxart by Piotr Forkasiewicz; “S-like-Sugar” with a pin-up girl so unusual in the conservative Royal Navy, and a British plane with American stars painted to misguide the French during Operation Torch – a landing in French North Africa.

Sea Hurricane Mk IIc – 835 Squadron, HMS Nairana, pilot Sub Lt. A.R. Burgham, June 1944

Sea Hurricane Mk IIc – 825 Squadron, HMS Vindex, early 1944

Sea Hurricane Mk X – 804 Squadron, HMS Dasher, operation Torch, November 1942
