Robert Wójcik masterfully put together the Mustang in the British Mk.III version and in markings of the Polish Ace of Aces, Stanisław Skalski. Let’s see photos of this great model and read how Robert built Skalski’s plane.

I am pleased to share with you photos of my latest Mustang model built from the Arma Hobby kit.
Because I was building a miniature of Stanisław Skalski’s plane, which was not included in the original set, I modified the seat (to represent a Schick-Johnson plywood type).
I also used:
- Photo-etched British seatbelts from the AML set (Arma kit includes American belts),
- SBS resin wheels (Skalski’s plane was unusual and had a tire with a different tread on each wheel),
- painting masks from Eduard (unfortunately, not very well suited to the kit),
- 3D-printed exhausts from Eduard (again, with poor fit to the Arma kit, and with unacceptably visible print layers, which required heavy sanding),
- Model Maker Decals.
The parts in the box produced by Arma Hobby are of very high quality and even without extras, they allow you to build an impressive model. The cockpit and landing gear are actually separate kits in this set. Notably, although the project is technologically advanced and the large number of parts is striking, the individual parts fit each other very well, which makes working on the Mustang very pleasant. Now it’s time to finish the equally fantastic Hayate!

Arma Hobby 1/72 Mustangs
P-51B/C/Mustang Mk.III in 1/72 scale is one of the most popular Arma Hobby model kits. In 2022, it was awarded the title “Modell des Jahres” (“Model of the Year”) by “Modell Fan” Magazine. Older kits have already sold out. The “Expert” and “Model Kits” will no longer be reissued, but their marking schemes will be back – in new boxes. The last pieces of the F-6C reconnaissance Mustang (Expert Set 70040 kit) are offered in December in Christmas bundles with a very good discount!
Currently, a new P-51B/C Mustang standard set (70067) and a box with Polish and British Mustang Mk.III (70039) markings are available. We also prepare new boxings with new marking schemes. Kit 70041 with Bud Anderson’s “Old Crow” boxart by will be reissued soon.

Exquisite. Do I really need one in 1:48 when the 1:72 scale models are so good? Sure you have to do some “modelling” but whats the point otherwise? Nice job😎❤️
