Rustyscale Models
Chris Veya from Rustyscale Models in his review said:
“My quick summary of this review here is that I love the kit is very nicely detailed, but not overengineered, not overdone. The price is OK. It’s not a cheap kit, but I have to say, the quality standard here is very high. All in all, I can’t wait starting to build this kit here, which I will do very, very very soon!”
Modeler’s Workshop
Written review with lots of detailed photos:
Sebastian’s summary:
“The new Curtiss from Arma Hobby looks significantly better than the recently released Hayabusa, which is a very welcome surprise. If I were to compare, this kit feels more in line with the Yak-1b or Mustang, rather than the Hayabusa or the 1/48 Airacobra. There are no visible flash or sink marks, and the whole model gives an impression of finesse and delicacy. The only thing missing is surface riveting, but the manufacturer’s stance on that remains unchanged. This gives hope that the upcoming releases will maintain this high standard.”
Video Review:
Sebastian from Modeler’s Workshop said:
“Take a look at the surface details of the wings and fuselage: they are delicate and light, yet sharp and clear. It looks perfect!”

KFS Miniatures
KFS, known in Polish modellers community for his sharp tongue and critical approach, evaluated the kit as follows:
„Without a doubt, at first glance, the parts look better than on the previous Army production, the Ki-43 II. Not just at first, anyway, as a close-up comparison of these miniatures shows that the surface finish in the new kit is noticeably better – the panel lines are deeper, and although still very narrow, they are more pronounced.”

Rafhart
Rafhart was less reserved in his judgement:
“Oh, I can already see how pretty it is. A! Ouch! My eyes!!!”
Koszaliński Pluton Modelarski
Marcin Wawrzynkowski from Koszaliński Pluton Modelarski (“Koszalin’s Modellers Platoon”) wrote:
„Everyone has to make their own decision here, and I will have the pleasure if I help them make it. Personally, I have already built quite a few models from this manufacturer and have never been disappointed with any of them. I suspect it will be the same with this kit.”

JanuszNSG
Janusz assessed the model as follows:
„Surfaces nice, with subtle, but not too subtle panel lines. Overall the mouldings look very good. No flash or other such problems can be seen, but there are no rivets. On the other side quite a lot of really nicely done detail of the cockpit interior, as well as imitation of the structure in the wheel wells. […] You can’t see any problems here, both in terms of the quality of the design and the workmanship.”
These are just the first reviews for now, more will be coming soon. We will successively show them on our social media and blog!
