The second injection test of our new 1/72 scale Ki-43 Hayabusa is behind us and the results are very good!

A few days ago we showed on Facebook the first test sprues of the Ki-43, injected at low pressure. At these parameters, not everything still casts properly, this is because many parts are really thin and fine, so the plastic has a hard time filling them.

At this stage of mould preparation this is natural, moreover, our experience says that everything goes better than well this time.

The second test done!

After the second test, still not yet at full pressure, we are happy to see that there is a lot of progress. The wings, despite the very thin trailing edge, are already casting beautifully. You can see this in the title photo. We are still working on the rudder and a few smaller details, still it looks like there will be no compromises on the quality of the parts.

As you can see, we have already assembled together the first test model from the test injections – so we can reveal that the fit is very good. More tests are coming soon and we hope to be able to show more soon!

Detailed renderings of the sprues

While the engineers in the tooling workshop are fine-tuning the injection, we can take a look at the final renderings of the sprues – and see what it should all look like once the testing is complete!
