Our Italian friend Fabio Besani built a beautiful P-39Q Airacobra model in the markings of the Italian Co-Beligerent Air Force fighting on the side of the Allies after the overthrow of Mussolini. The construction of this model is a tribute to Italian pilots on the centenary of the creation of the Italian Air Force (1923-2023).

When I heard about the release of this kit I couldn’t resist and immediately got it to make my model for the centenary of the Italian Air Force A.M.I. (1923-2023).
I found interesting images where the accentuated degree of wear of the Co-beligerent Italian Airacobras can clearly be seen.
The kit is simple and quick to assemble and has precise joints, the details are very fine and accurate, remarkable for the 72 scale.
Good choice to provide the three small steel balls in the kit to add weight on the front for balance the model.
The cockpit, clearly visible with the doors open, is a model within a model.
I added some details like seatbelts, brake and radio cables, wheels and armaments from Eduard Brassin and Pitot tube from Master Model.
In a short time I was ready for the painting and weathering steps done completely with the products of the Italian company LIFECOLOR.
Well-made decals, with a fine film, and resistant to softeners products.
A kit recommended to everyone! I’ll soon make a Russian N version.
Thanks for this great release Arma Hobby!
