Third Hurricane I Trop built by Thibault Choquart from France. Why it is exciting to build so many Arma Hobby Hurricanes and what is the story behing French aeroplane with FAR markings? Read whole story to find answer !

This kit is my third Hurricane MkI Metal Wing by Arma Hobby and I am still not fed up of it, on the contrary!

This Hurricane with serial V7859 is very easy to do thanks to the remaining decals of the first builts! Thanks to the experience gathered on the first ones, the building has been very fast and smoth!

The  V7859 belongs to the RAF Sq73, but has known fame with French pilots!

It is indeed with this plane that James DENIS, then at the head of the squadron EFC1 (French Fighter Squadron No. 1) shot down Hans-Joachim Marseille in April 1941 (Battle of Tobruk in Libya);

These planes used to come from England through a long trip over Africa and were prepared in Egypt (filter Aboukir) with sometimes a strange painting of the filter and the leading edge, to simulate an Italian plane in the rearview mirror as it is said …

On the real picture, the plane is shown before delivery to Sq73, with little dirt. I tried to reproduce this aspect, and of course, not to miss the painting of the small spots, that I made in Dark green and light stone (hypotesis);
