‘The Silver Queen’ is Poland’s finest jet – the TS-11 Iskra. For many decades, all Polish fighter and fighter-bomber jet pilots trained on it. In our country, it is a legend. That’s why at Arma Hobby we had no doubt that our first injected model had to be the Iskra!
2015 – First injection moulds
The moulds for this model kit, as a start-up company in the injection moulding model business, exceptionally, only once, we ordered from China. It was a breakneck project, but in the end the mould came to us and the sprues have been produced in Poland since the beginning. This was happening in 2015, 10 years ago!
Although the Iskra kit doesn’t have the quality of our subsequent model kits, it is still a cool, buildable kit of a very interesting aircraft. Modellers have built lots of beautiful models from this kit, in the widest variety of paintwork and versions, both ‘straight-from-the-box’ and as advanced models superdetailed with PE parts, resins or self-made details.
