The Messerschmitt kit is in the final stage of development. The clear sprue has already undergone test shots. The remaining sprues will most likely have their test shots in November. The project timeline is such that we will start the pre-sale after the pre-sale of the models Hurricane Mk I 1\/48<\/strong> and P-51K Mustang<\/strong>, at the beginning of December this year. Shipping \u2014 possibly in December, but more likely in January \u2014 due to the holiday break and the year-end rush, stock-taking, and obstacles to smooth customs clearance around the turn of the year.<\/p>\n

Messerschmitt Me 262<\/strong> is the first Luftwaffe subject in the Arma Hobby range. The project was based on a 3D model of the aircraft\u2019s structure by Artur Bentley<\/strong>, who \u2014 as is well known \u2014 is an outstanding British draughtsman of aircraft structures. Based on this work, the Arma Hobby team prepared a 1\/72<\/strong> scale model.<\/p>\n

Planned kit versions<\/h3>\n

The first boxing depicts the Me 262 A-1a Schwalbe<\/strong> variant.
\nThere is also a boxing planned with Me 262 A-1a with Wfr. Gr. 21<\/strong> (rocket launchers) made with 3D printing, as well as the Me 262 A-2a Sturmvogel<\/strong>.
\nFor now, we are not planning the two-seat Me 262 B<\/strong>, but we do not rule it out in the future.<\/p>\n

We will show the paint schemes from the first box before the end of November \u2014 as soon as the color profiles are prepared.<\/p>\n

Plastic sprue renderings<\/h3>\n

As you can see, the model consists of three sprues.<\/p>\n

\nThe clear sprue contains the \u201cArma Jig\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 an assembly\/transport stand that allows safe handling of the model both during assembly and when transporting it to a model contest or club meeting.
\nOn this sprue we have included an internal armored windscreen, attached not to the canopy but, using special tabs, to the inside of the fuselage. This prevents the glass from getting soiled during gluing.<\/p>\n

The two grey sprues contain the main parts of the model, including a finely detailed interior of the landing-gear bays \u2014 characteristic of the Me 262. You have often asked about the deployed leading-edge slats \u2014 a hallmark of this aircraft \u2014 and you will find them in our kit. The under-slung armament includes two 250 kg<\/strong> bombs and R4M<\/strong> rockets under the wings.<\/p>\n
