Many Cobras N were later transferred to the Allies especially in this theatre of operations, particularly to the French and Italians. For the N version, as in the 1\/72 kit, we have chosen three very interesting schemes: a Soviet one (the personal aircraft of the Ukrainian ace), an American one (from a squadron operating over the Mediterranean and Italy) and a French one from Algeria, the aircraft of the commander of the legendary GC 1\/4 Navarre Fighter Group. Ivan Babak received the aircraft from the residents of Mariupol. Initially, the fighter had no inscriptions painted on the nose, but a silhouette of a winged Nike. After Babak was shot down by the Germans (on another aircraft), the machine was taken over by Grigory Dolnikov, who painted the slogan &#8216;For Vanya Babak&#8217; on the nose of the aircraft.
